A helicopter crash in New York’s Hudson River on Thursday resulted in six confirmed fatality and the rescue of two individuals, whose condition remains unknown, according to the New York Police Department.
The crash occurred near Pier 40, close to the shore and across from New Jersey.
Emergency services responded quickly, utilizing both boats and ground units to coordinate the rescue efforts.
Five people, including three children and two adults, were reportedly onboard the helicopter at the time of the crash, as per CBS News.
