Afrobeats artist Lyta, born Babatunde Rahim, recently expressed frustration with a lack of support from his fans, stating that he may stop releasing new music if his existing songs are not being streamed.
Speaking during a recent Instagram live session, Lyta said, “I can do more good music. But if you don’t stream my music, I won’t drop another one. I’m in need of money.
“Look at how I’m looking [slim]. I want to gain weight. Let me enjoy your money a little. If you stream my music, I will add weight.”
The singer, who rose to fame in 2018 after signing with YBNL Nation, revealed that he is facing financial difficulties as a result of low music sales.
Lyta’s departure from YBNL in 2019 following a dispute with label owner Olamide has led to his plea for a return to the record label being rejected by the rapper in several public appeals.
