Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbache, has been given a three-game ban for playfully pinching the nose of Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk.
The incident occurred following Fenerbache’s loss in the Super Cup to their rivals.
Mourinho snuck up behind Buruk and grabbed his nose, causing the coach to stumble to the ground.
According to Goal, Mourinho has been suspended for three matches as a result of his actions. While there was consideration for a longer ban of five to 10 matches, the Turkish Football Federation ultimately decided to lessen the punishment after acknowledging that Mourinho was provoked by Buruk at the end of the match.
