Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League suffered another blow on Saturday with a frustrating 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
Leandro Trossard scored for the Gunners in the 34th minute after taking advantage of a defensive error and calmly slotting past Jordan Pickford.
However, Everton quickly equalized at the start of the second half when Miles Lewis-Skelly fouled Jack Harrison in the box, leading to a penalty that Iliman Ndiaye converted confidently.
The equalizer shook Arsenal, but both goalkeepers, Raya and Pickford, made crucial saves to keep the score level.
Mikel Arteta made several changes to the team with Champions League match against Real Madrid in mind.
