Nigerian singer Terry Apala has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to activist VeryDarkMan to remove his defamatory post about him.
VeryDarkMan had claimed that the singer, along with DJ Tunez and DJ Osas, received money from the EFCC, which Terry Apala denies.
In a letter from Terry Apala’s lawyer to VDM, it was stated that the allegations in the post are false and damaging to Terry Apala’s reputation.
The statement also accused VeryDarkMan of trying to use the singer for attention and mentioned that the false narrative could harm both Terry Apala and the EFCC.
Furthermore, Terry clarified that the accusations of bribery were unfounded, as he has never engaged in such practices.
He also provided an alibi, stating that he was out of the country for several months and was observing the Ramadan fast during the alleged time frame.
As stated in the letter:
“I want to state clearly that this bribery allegation is a total lie and has no basis in reality, especially recently. I have never bribed anyone, nor have i been involved in any kind of financial corruption with any organization or individual, whether public or private”
“It troubles me that this unfounded accusation is been spread around without proof. It needs to be publicly refuted quickly to protect the integrity of the EFCC and to clear my name from this unfair connection.”
