Superstar entertainer Jennifer Lopez is again proving that she’s the definition of unstoppable.
Ahead of her much-anticipated hosting return at the 2025 American Music Awards, Lopez took to Instagram to reveal a painful cut across the bridge of her nose, sustained during rehearsals.
Posting a series of behind-the-scenes photos—one showing the nasty bruise and another with an ice pack in hand—J.Lo simply captioned it:
“So… this happened.”
The injury occurred less than two weeks before the May 26 awards show, but fans can breathe easy. The On The Floor hitmaker received treatment from celebrity-favorite Dr. Diamond and gave a positive update:
“A week later and a whole lotta ice and I’m good as new.”
This year’s AMAs, set to take place at the BleauLive Theater in Las Vegas, marks Lopez’s first time hosting the show in over a decade. But true to form, she won’t just be emceeing—she’s also expected to hit the stage with a powerhouse performance.
The American Music Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT.
