Online personality Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been released from EFCC custody.
A video circulating online shows VDM leaving custody with his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. The EFCC confirmed that VDM would be granted freedom after meeting his bail conditions.
Dele Oyewale, spokesperson for the EFCC, stated that VDM’s case would proceed to court following his release.
VDM was taken into custody in Abuja after facing accusations of misconduct. His arrest prompted backlash online, with many Nigerians criticizing the EFCC for targeting vocal critics.
