Global R&B superstar Chris Brown has been denied bail in the UK, seriously jeopardizing his upcoming ‘Breezy Bowl XX’ stadium tour.
The 36-year-old singer was detained upon arrival in Manchester via private jet and has since been charged with grievous bodily harm in connection with an alleged bottle attack on a music producer at Tape London nightclub.
In a ruling issued today (May 16), a UK court ordered that Brown remain in custody until his next hearing on June 13 at Southwark Crown Court in London.
The development threatens to derail Brown’s highly anticipated international tour launch, which is slated to kick off on June 8 in Amsterdam, just five days before his scheduled court appearance.
What This Means for ‘Breezy Bowl XX’
The ‘Breezy Bowl XX’ tour was set to mark one of Brown’s biggest live undertakings in recent years, with sold-out dates across Europe and planned surprise guest appearances. With his detainment, it remains unclear whether the tour will proceed as scheduled or be postponed indefinitely.
Brown’s legal team has yet to issue a formal statement, but sources close to the singer suggest they are preparing to appeal the bail decision.
The singer, known for hits like “Under the Influence”, “Go Crazy”, and “No Guidance”, has had past legal issues that have sparked both public outcry and industry scrutiny.
As of press time, tour organizers have not commented on the status of the scheduled performances.
