EFCC arrests TikToker for spraying, stepping on naira notes in Kaduna

Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, a social media content creator, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly disrespecting the Nigerian currency in a video shared online.

The Commission announced his arrest on Monday and disclosed that Sa’ad was taken into custody by Kaduna Zonal Directorate operatives after challenging EFCC officers in the video.

“Sa’ad made a video of himself on his TikTok and Instagram accounts (@youngcee0066), where he was seen throwing naira notes on the floor, deliberately stepping on them, and daring EFCC officers in Hausa language to arrest him if they could.

The Commission confirmed that Sa’ad will face charges once the investigation is complete.

“He was subsequently picked up in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State through surveillance and conveyed to the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Commission for interrogation,” the statement said.
