The EFCC has confirmed that social critic Martins Ortse, also known as VeryDarkMan, will soon be facing charges in court.
According to spokesman Dele Oyewale, VeryDarkMan was arrested following multiple complaints against him, particularly for cyberstalking.
Oyewale mentioned that the complaints came from various individuals and the EFCC is obligated to protect them.
He said, “We arrested him to respond to a series of allegations raised against him by some petitioners.
“We will release him when he meets the bail conditions and we will take the case to court as soon as possible. We are law-abiding.”
VDM’s arrest came after he announced plans to visit a GTBank branch in Abuja to address an issue with his mother’s account.
Reports suggest that VeryDarkMan was manhandled by EFCC operatives during his arrest.
