Beyoncé isn’t letting a cease and desist from The Sphere derail her massive ‘Cowboy Carter Tour.’
The music icon has cleverly navigated around the venue’s objections. During the opening of the tour, a cinematic interlude showed a towering Beyoncé lifting famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and The Sphere.
The inclusion of The Sphere stood out, especially since reports in 2023 suggested Beyoncé was in talks for a residency at the high-profile Las Vegas venue.
Speculation intensified when The Sphere appeared in Beyoncé’s dynamic Verizon ad that marked the start of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ era.
However, sources later revealed that negotiations broke down due to disagreements over rehearsal time, and Beyoncé was reportedly considering another location for a residency.
Following a cease and desist from legal representatives of The Sphere’s owner, James Dolan, who accused her of unauthorized and potentially misleading use of the venue’s image, changes were made to the tour visuals.
Now, instead of lifting The Sphere, Beyoncé is seen picking up Allegiant Stadium—the Las Vegas arena where the tour is set to wrap up on July 26.
The diva’s Parkwood Entertainment shared the clip with the caption:
“What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG.”
