Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has appealed to fans and content creators for more respect and personal space after a recent uncomfortable experience in public.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, the actress revealed that a fan filmed her without her consent while she was shopping — an invasion of privacy she described as frustrating and inappropriate.
“I know everyone is a content creator now but please don’t see me outside and immediately shove a camera in my face. I’m begging you 😭. Imagine picking tampons off the shelf and then you turn to see a camera in your face mahn. Hi and nice to meet you but please no,” she wrote.
Her candid post quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions online. While many fans supported her call for boundaries and emphasized the importance of respecting celebrities’ privacy, others argued that such incidents are a natural consequence of being in the public eye.
The incident has reignited conversations about the ethical boundaries between fans and public figures in the age of viral content and constant digital documentation.
