Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, have accused a dentist in Beverly Hills of recklessly giving West excessive amounts of nitrous gas, leading to a chemical dependency that caused neurological damage and mood swings.
Their lawyer, Andrew Cherkasky, confirmed that they have sent a letter to Dr. Thomas Connelly outlining their claims and informing him of their intent to file a malpractice lawsuit in 90 days on behalf of the couple.
“I can confirm we represent Ye and Bianca, and I can confirm the authenticity of the letter served today,” Cherkasky told Rolling Stone.
The letter was initially shared by Kanye West’s sometime spokesperson, Milo Yiannopoulos, who posted it on X.
“Our clients intend to file a lawsuit against you for medical malpractice, professional negligence, and related tortious and contractual violations stemming from your treatment of Ye,” the letter read.
According to the letter, Connelly provided West with nitrous oxide in unjustifiable quantities and frequencies for recreational use, instructing the rapper on self-administration.
The letter further alleges that Connelly took advantage of West’s vulnerable state to allegedly charge him $50,000 a month for the “continuous supply” of nitrous oxide and related services.
Kanye West has been making headlines over the past few months for his far-right and antisemitic tirades posted on social media.
