Megan Thee Stallion defied one of the Met Gala’s strictest rules by sneakily bringing her phone into the exclusive event.
Guests at the star-studded gathering are prohibited from using their phones or sharing anything on social media once inside New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in order to preserve the secrecy surrounding the annual affair.
Despite this, the Hot Girl Summer singer ignored the rule on Monday night by posting a series of videos from inside the museum on Instagram.
The footage kicks off with Megan Thee Stallion alongside Doechii and Angel Reese, sampling various appetizers at a table and providing their opinions on dishes like cornbread with caviar, white truffle lobster roll, and vegan lox.
The video then transitions into a fast-paced montage showcasing the celebrity encounters Megan Thee Stallion had throughout the evening, including interactions with Serena Williams, Cynthia Erivo, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
During those clips, the 30-year-old can be heard saying, “We’re not supposed to have our phones”, “I snuck my phone in” and “I’m not supposed to have this.”
Towards the end of the montage, Megan Thee Stallion asks Goodies singer Ciara to show off her black-and-silver gown and zoomed into her outfit.
She captioned the post, “Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA (sic).”
In the comments, Megan’s fans praised her for giving them a glimpse inside the exclusive event.
“Thank you for this forbidden footage sis,” one joked, while another added, “Typical Aquarius breaking all the rules.”
Referencing Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour, another quipped, “Here before Anna make you delete this.”
