Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, bid farewell to Trent Alexander-Arnold after the defender confirmed his departure from the club at the end of the season.
Alexander-Arnold has turned down a new contract with Liverpool and is expected to join Real Madrid for free.
The 26-year-old has been part of the club since he was six and has won eight major titles with them.
Despite describing his departure as the toughest decision of his life, Alexander-Arnold has expressed his continued support for Liverpool.
Salah, who has had a successful partnership with Alexander-Arnold on the field, took a moment on Monday to reminisce about their time together.
“It’s been a pleasure sharing a special friendship with you and playing alongside you. I wish you the best and I am sure we will meet again,” he posted on Instagram alongside a succession of photos of the two of them playing together for Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold replied with two love heart emojis and the words “big bro”.
