Nigerian Pastor Timothy Omotoso Re-Arrested in South Africa Over Immigration Violations

Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso, who has been facing legal troubles in South Africa, has decided to voluntarily leave the country following his recent re-arrest.

Reports from South Africa Broadcasting Cooperation (SABC) and Newsroom Afrika television indicate that Timothy Omotoso will be deported today, Sunday, May 18, 2025.

After spending eight years in prison and being acquitted of 32 charges in April, Omotoso was rearrested on May 10, 2025, in East London. His departure time for the flight out of the country is still unknown.
