The Nigeria National Coalition Group (NNCG) has officially applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the registration of a new political party known as the All Democratic Alliance (ADA).
In a letter dated June 19, 2025, and acknowledged by INEC on June 20, 2025, the NNCG outlined its intention to launch ADA, with the slogan “Justice for All.” The application, signed by the group’s Protem National Chairman, Chief Akin A. Rickets, was made public in Abuja on Friday.
The coalition said the decision to float ADA followed “extensive consultations and internal discussions” aimed at broadening Nigeria’s democratic space.
“The name of the party shall be All Democratic Alliance with ADA as our acronym and ‘Justice for All’ as our slogan,” the letter stated.
In compliance with constitutional and electoral guidelines, the NNCG submitted essential documents, including the ADA’s constitution, manifesto, flag, and logo.
These documents highlight the party’s ideological foundation, governance structure, and operational principles, aligning with Section 40 and 222 of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Section 75 of the 2022 Electoral Act.
“The constitution provides the legal framework that defines our identity, regulates our affairs, and guides our actions in alignment with Nigeria’s constitutional provisions and global democratic values,” the group added.
Chief Rickets expressed optimism that INEC would positively consider the request, pledging that the party, if approved, would promote inclusiveness and a level playing field for all political actors.
If registered, ADA will join Nigeria’s growing list of political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections, potentially altering the country’s political dynamics.
