Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly, has opened up about her split from fellow housemate Sooj, hinting that family-related issues were a major factor in the breakup.
During a recent episode of the reality show’s reunion, Nelly confirmed that the relationship, which blossomed during their time in the house, had ended. While she avoided revealing specific details, she made it clear that the problems were deeply rooted in family concerns.
“A lot of things happened [between me and Sooj]. But I can’t tell you because it’s a family matter. It’s a family thing between me and Sooj,” Nelly said.
Fans may recall that tension started brewing during the show after Nelly disclosed she had undergone a Brazilian butt lift and had tattoos.
These revelations seemed to cause discomfort for Sooj. At the time, Sooj hinted that these disclosures might become a problem in the outside world.
Sooj’s close friend Topper also previously predicted that the relationship wouldn’t survive beyond the show due to Sooj’s family background and values, which appear to have played a significant role in the eventual breakup.
