Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has shared a candid reflection on the downsides of fame, admitting that life was simpler before stardom.

In a recent vlog interview with Channel Tweety7, the Cash App crooner discussed how the pressures of celebrity life have affected his personal freedom and family responsibilities.

“I Used to Be More Free Before Fame”

Bella, who rose to fame around age 25, noted that while being a celebrity has its perks, he often feels confined and under pressure.

“I blew up at the age of 25. I only enjoy the celebrity lifestyle just a little. When I wasn’t a celebrity, I used to be more free and hang out with friends. But now, it’s like I’m in a box.”

He added that the expectations placed on him as the family breadwinner have added another layer of pressure to his daily life.

“I am the major breadwinner of my family. That comes with a lot of pressure. It’s hard. The money has got to keep coming, if not, I’m in trouble.”

“I Always Knew I Would Make It”

Despite the struggles, Bella Shmurda remains confident about his journey, revealing that he always had an inner conviction that success was inevitable.

“There’s this feeling. If you are going to make it, you will know and you won’t stop working. Naturally, you will be feeling it.”

The singer’s honest remarks provide a rare glimpse into the emotional and mental toll of fame, reminding fans that behind the spotlight lies real human experiences.
