Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has candidly shared her emotional state ahead of the release of her highly anticipated new movie, revealing that she’s battling anxiety despite years of success in the industry.
In a heartfelt post shared on social media, the award-winning actress confessed that she always feels “nervous” whenever she’s about to release a new project—even when she’s confident in the quality of her work. This time, however, she admits the feeling is more intense than ever.
“I ALWAYS feel scared, not because I don’t trust the cyber family God has blessed me with… I just get nervous,” she wrote. “I’m about to release another movie, and I feel my heart thumping through my chest.”
The upcoming film—whose title and release date have yet to be revealed—features a star-studded Nigerian cast, with custom-built sets and demanding production hours, which Ademoye describes as “magic” made for her loyal fan base.
Despite the pressure, she expressed immense gratitude to her supporters, whom she calls her “cyber family,” and acknowledged the role they’ve played in her career growth:
“There’d be no me without you. Ever. God knew I needed you… and I love you so much.”
Bimbo also recalled comforting words from her mother and aunt, who reminded her of divine favor:
“Everything you get involved in prospers, not because you’re better than anybody, but because, thus says the Lord.”
Countdown Begins
While she didn’t confirm a specific premiere date, Bimbo hinted that the countdown will begin tomorrow, signalling that the project is just days away from release.
“If you know me, you know I only count down when the release is closer. So yes, we’re getting a new movie in a couple of days.”
She urged fans to turn on their notifications, promising a cinematic experience filled with heart and dedication:
“We have whipped it up in the kitchen, now it’s almost time to eat. Brace up. WE ARE COMING.”

Bimbo’s emotional honesty drew love and reassurance from fellow stars, including Toyin Abraham, who replied:
“You can’t be scared, Aisha. We have God, and I’m here anytime to always hold your hands. I love you so much baby.”
