Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has come out strongly against critics accusing her of running fake giveaways, and she is clearly not here for the disrespect.
The AMVCA-winning actress took to her Instagram page to address the growing backlash from some followers who stormed her DMs with insults, allegations of favoritism, and claims that her giveaways are not real.
In a lengthy and emotional statement, Bimbo did not hold back as she called out the behavior, stressing that while she understands the current economic hardship, it does not justify disrespect.
“While I understand that the economy is tough and a lot of us need money… I need you to understand that I’m only one person; there are 5.1 million of you here!” she wrote.
The actress broke it down further, pointing out the unrealistic expectations from fans, revealing that if she were to give each follower money, it would amount to a staggering ₦510 billion — something she made clear is far beyond her means.
“I no get, my papa no get, my forefathers no get! I’m only doing the little I can from my pocket!” she added.
Reacting to accusations of favoritism, Bimbo stated that she intentionally prevents friends and family from participating in her giveaways to maintain fairness, making the claims even more frustrating for her.
However, what seemed to hurt her the most were the direct insults she received, including being called a “stingy goat” — a comment she described as completely out of line.
“I do not do well with disrespect at all… when you cross the line, I can be petty enough to find you, then we can handle it one-on-one!” she warned.
The actress also revealed that she has quietly given out millions in the past without publicising it, emphasising that her giveaways are simply her way of giving back and having fun with her fans.
Despite the controversy, Bimbo continued her giveaway, announcing a winner and rolling out a new question for fans, showing that she is not backing down anytime soon.
Her response has since sparked reactions online, with many fans supporting her stance and condemning the level of entitlement and disrespect from some followers.
One thing is clear — Bimbo Ademoye has drawn the line, and she is not tolerating any nonsense moving forward.
