Controversial socialite and crossdresser, Bobrisky, has taken a swipe at Nigerian politicians over their silence in the wake of the tragic killings in Yelwata, Benue State, which reportedly claimed nearly 200 lives.
In a post shared via Instagram Stories, he expressed outrage at the apparent priorities of the country’s lawmakers.
He recalled how, in 2024, the Senate and House of Representatives swiftly convened meetings over reports that he was allegedly given special treatment while serving time for spraying naira notes.
Contrasting that swift reaction with the deafening silence over the mass killings in Benue, he wrote that it was ironic that the same politicians who rushed to probe his prison stay have not uttered a word or taken any action regarding the massacre.
Bobrisky’s comments have further fueled public discourse surrounding the perceived insensitivity of political leaders toward the country’s deepening insecurity crisis.
Bobrisky wrote …
“Senator/house representative didn’t call urgent meeting over the kiling happening in benue.. but they can call urgent meeting when it comes to bobrisky. Shame!!!! Shame!!!! Shame!!!”
He added …
“What a shameful country.”
