Bryan Mbeumo Favors Manchester United Move Amid Tottenham Interest

Bryan Mbeumo Keen on Manchester United Move as Club Prepares Transfer Talks with Brentford

Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly expressed a preference for a summer switch to Manchester United, despite interest from former boss Thomas Frank, now in charge at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian winger enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 season, scoring 20 goals—his best Premier League campaign to date. This form has sparked a transfer battle among top-flight clubs, with Brentford valuing their prized forward at £60 million.

While Spurs boss Thomas Frank is keen on reuniting with his former player, fresh reports suggest that Mbeumo would rather make the move to Old Trafford.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Mbeumo acknowledged the transfer speculation:

“It’s a bit new for me I would say! I think it can be the life of a footballer and you need to accept it.”

He also reflected on his impressive season:

“It’s been my best season so far in the Premier League. Even collectively, I think we played very good games. We were unlucky not to reach Europe, but it’s been a fantastic season.”

Mbeumo remains under contract until 2026, with an option for an extra year—giving Brentford negotiating power. Yet, with his stock at an all-time high, the club could be tempted to cash in.
