Former NBA star Chris Webber has firmly addressed and dismissed swirling online rumors suggesting he fathered a child with Basketball Wives star Jackie Christie.
The rumor mill went wild after a viral Facebook post claimed Jackie cheated on her longtime husband, Doug Christie, with his former Sacramento Kings teammate, Chris Webber, and secretly had a baby with him.
The post further alleged that Chris unknowingly raised the child for years before discovering the truth.
But Chris wasted no time setting the record straight. In a video clip shared by LiveBitez, Webber stated:
“The internet is undefeated. The enemy wants us to be distracted, man. You gotta put your blinders on. Stay focused, man.”
He also hinted that legal action is underway to address the false claims, stressing that he won’t allow his reputation to be tarnished by baseless gossip.
Jackie Christie indirectly responded by reposting Chris’ video on Instagram with the caption:
“♠️😀 That Part! #Rp CWebb ~ Sucka free since 1973.”
Fans were quick to defend Jackie and Doug’s marriage, recalling their famously tight bond—especially their tradition of renewing their vows yearly on Basketball Wives.
One fan commented:

Others suggested the rumor was simply a wild fabrication with no merit.
