Court Moves Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial to DSS Headquarters Over Radio Transmitter Container
The Federal High Court in Abuja has relocated the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters.
Justice James Omotosho gave the directive, stating that the venue change is necessary to enable the court inspect a shipping container linked to Kanu. According to the court, the container was allegedly used to smuggle a radio transmitter into Nigeria, which was then used for broadcasts on Radio Biafra.
He is currently standing trial on terrorism-related charges stemming from his separatist activities and advocacy for the independence of Biafra.
The relocation of proceedings to the DSS facility marks a significant development in the high-profile case, which has drawn national and international attention.
