Award-winning Nigerian singer Davido has officially withdrawn from his highly anticipated concert scheduled for July 3rd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, citing unresolved issues with the event’s promoters, The Necto Future Group.
In a statement shared via his Instagram stories, the ‘Unavailable’ crooner expressed disappointment over the development, noting that despite strong ticket sales and fan support, there were “major misalignments regarding the event’s execution,” which compromised the integrity and quality of performance he promises his fans.
“I regret to inform you that I will no longer be performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 3rd. Please note, the show still holds, but without Davido,” he wrote.
Davido clarified that this decision was not due to low turnout or lack of support, but rather a matter of principle and respect for his craft, fans, and the culture he represents.
The singer assured London fans that he would be returning soon and confirmed that the rest of his summer shows, scheduled across Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, the US, and Africa, remain on schedule.
He concluded by emphasizing, “Africa must be respected,” reinforcing his stance on maintaining high standards in all his international engagements.
For further inquiries, Davido directed fans to contact the show promoters via their official email addresses.
