The Recording Academy has officially announced that the 2026 GRAMMY Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, and will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Additionally, nominations for Music’s Biggest Night are set to be announced on November 7, 2025.
As part of ongoing efforts to evolve and reflect the dynamic music landscape, the Academy has introduced two new award categories:
-
Best Album Cover
-
Best Traditional Country Album
Speaking on the changes, Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said:
“The Academy’s top priority is to represent the music people that we serve each year. That entails listening carefully to our members to make sure our rules and guidelines reflect today’s music and allow us to accurately recognize as many deserving creators as possible.
As we kick off another exciting GRAMMY Season, we look forward to celebrating the amazing power of music and its ability to bring so many people together.”
The new categories aim to honor visual creativity and traditional country excellence, expanding the GRAMMY’s reach across genres and artistic disciplines.
