Nollywood actress and podcaster Biola Bayo has responded to critics who have mocked her following her recent marital troubles.
In a viral video circulating online, Biola Bayo reminded trolls that, despite her celebrity status, she remains human with feelings. She explained that the reason she publicly shared details about her marriage was to maintain control of her own narrative rather than allow others to spread false stories.
“I am human. The other time I posted about my marriage, it was because I didn’t want people to tell my story for me, yet you all used it against me,” Biola said emotionally in the clip.
She also revealed that her estranged husband was informed before she made her post public, dispelling claims that she acted without his knowledge.
“I told my husband before I posted, so he was aware of the post. He knows I am not what people say I am, but God will reward everyone,” she added.
Biola’s remarks come amidst increased online backlash from some social media users who have taunted her over her failed marriage, prompting the actress to break her silence.
