“They Got Greedy, Left, and Now Want to Blame Me” – Jude Okoye Blasts Peter Okoye, Cynthia Morgan, Others Over Fallout

Jude Okoye

Nigerian music executive Jude Okoye has taken to social media to address long-standing controversies involving his brotherPeter Okoye, of P-Square fame, and former Northside Entertainment signee Cynthia Morgan, among others who previously worked under his management.

In a strongly worded post on Instagram, Jude accused his former associates of greedingratitude, and attempted blackmail, stating that they turned on him after tasting success and chose to walk away from the platform that had elevated them.

“They all have one thing in common: They were big, influential, and successful when I was shouldering them with my platform—until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and so left,” Jude wrote.

According to him, these individuals had no complaints initially, often boasting about their “freedom” and ability to make it without his help. However, he claimed that after things didn’t work out for them, they attempted to spin the narrative and blame him for their struggles.

“Years down the line, they fell off the wagon and became broke. Instead of accepting responsibility for their choices, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left,” he added.

Jude also alleged that false accusations, including money laundering and fraud, were used to try and get him jailed—an effort he described as a ploy to break him into submission.

“They concocted and fabricated lies… to get me jailed in order for me to break down and submit to their demands. But to their surprise, I sat it out for two months,” he said.

He warned that he would not be bullied or extorted and challenged his accusers to come forward with specific, factual evidence of any wrongdoing.

“When next they come out ranting, ask them what WRONG I did to them that resulted in their present situation.”

The public outburst comes amid renewed tensions between Jude and his younger brother Peter Okoye, who has previously accused him of financial mismanagement and brought him before the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission). Jude was remanded in jail over the case but was later released on bail.

Jude also took aim at Cynthia Morgan, who in 2020 accused him of sabotaging her career, withholding royalties, and frustrating her exit from Northside Entertainment. Although the incident gained public sympathy for Morgan at the time, Jude denied any wrongdoing, stating she left of her own accord and violated her contractual obligations.
