Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has opened up about the reason he never gave up on his music career, despite constant criticism and doubts about his talent.
Speaking in a recent interview with Guardian Life, the ‘Caro’ crooner addressed trolls who have repeatedly claimed he lacks musical ability. He explained that his passion, hard work, and consistent output prove otherwise.
“I’m waking up every day hustling, going to the studio, working, and trying to put out great music. If I wasn’t as talented as people think, I would have stopped a long time ago,” he said.
L.A.X, who rose to prominence in August 2013 after signing with Starboy Entertainment and collaborating with Wizkid on the hit track ‘Caro’, maintained that his commitment to his craft and resilience in the face of negativity keep him moving forward.
Despite public skepticism, L.A.X continues to release new music and grow his fanbase, reinforcing his place in Nigeria’s vibrant music scene.
