American rapper Lil Durk has been denied bond for the third time in his ongoing murder-for-hire case, despite offering a $4.5 million bond package.
During the recent court hearing, Judge Patricia Donahue ruled that the proposed package — which included $4.5 million in cash, round-the-clock electronic monitoring, and private security — failed to guarantee Lil Durk’s court appearance or ensure public safety.
Prosecutors argued that the rapper poses a flight risk, highlighting his pre-arrest purchase of plane tickets to Dubai.
The judge concurred, noting that the bond amount represents only a small portion of Lil Durk’s total net worth.
The rapper is facing serious charges, including conspiracy, firearm violations, and obstruction of justice, all of which could result in life imprisonment if convicted.
Lil Durk’s trial is scheduled to commence on October 14, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.
