Barcelona and Germany goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has confirmed he is in a new relationship, just three months after announcing his separation from his wife of nearly eight years, Daniela Jehle.
The 33-year-old shot-stopper shared two revealing photos on his Instagram account. The first showed his hand intertwined with that of a woman in a floral dress, captioned “Junts” — the Catalan word for “together.” The second photo featured a smiling woman seated by the seaside during sunset.
According to Bild, Ter Stegen’s rumored new partner is Ona Sellares, who seemingly confirmed the relationship by sharing snaps from their recent getaway in Athens and reposting Ter Stegen’s Instagram Story.
She was also spotted wearing a Germany national team jersey at the Allianz Arena during Germany’s recent Nations League match against Portugal.
Very little is publicly known about Sellares, though she boasts nearly 19,000 followers on Instagram.
Ter Stegen and Jehle, who tied the knot in 2017 with a ceremony in Barcelona, followed by a church wedding in Tuscany, share two children.
Their separation was announced via a joint social media statement, in which they described the decision as difficult but necessary for their personal well-being.
The Barcelona goalkeeper recently made his return to international football after recovering from a ruptured patella tendon injury, featuring in Germany’s 2-1 Nations League defeat to Portugal.
