Streaming giant Netflix has once again raised its subscription prices in Nigeria, marking the third increase in less than 12 months and the first for 2025.
According to updated pricing on Netflix’s official website, the new rates are as follows:
-
Premium Plan: ₦8,500 (up from ₦7,000)
-
Standard Plan: ₦6,500 (up from ₦5,500)
-
Basic Plan: ₦4,000 (up from ₦3,500)
-
Mobile Plan: ₦2,500 (up from ₦2,200)
This follows two previous hikes in April and July 2024, drawing concern from subscribers already burdened by rising inflation, a weakened naira, and increased telecom tariffs.
The move mirrors similar price changes by other digital service providers. MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv and GOtv, also implemented new subscription rates on March 1, 2025.
As the cost of living continues to climb, many Nigerians are left weighing their options on affordable streaming and entertainment alternatives.
