Galatasaray vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, has voiced growing frustration over Victor Osimhen’s delay in making a decision regarding his future with the club.
The Nigerian striker, who enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray, played a crucial role in helping the Turkish giants secure both the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup. Osimhen delivered an impressive tally of 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s side.
Eager to secure the 26-year-old’s services on a permanent basis, Galatasaray has already submitted a formal proposal to his representatives.
Osimhen, however, has continued to delay his decision while reportedly rejecting several lucrative offers from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. The forward, currently holidaying in Nigeria, recently stated that he would announce his next move “soon.”
Kavukcu has now signaled the club’s growing impatience.
“He’s making us wait but time is running out. We’ve offered him figures higher than those proposed in Europe,” Kavukcu declared.
With pre-season preparations looming, Galatasaray may be forced to explore alternative striking options should Osimhen continue to stall.
