UEFA Names Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue Champions League's Best

Paris Saint-Germain stars Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue have been honored with top UEFA awards following the club’s first-ever Champions League title, capping off a sensational European campaign.

Dembele, 28, was named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season after a stunning resurgence that saw him transform from early-season outcast to PSG’s talisman.

Despite being benched early in the season due to disciplinary issues, his shift to a central attacking role revitalized both his form and PSG’s campaign, with Dembele netting eight goals en route to the title.

“This is what leadership looks like,” said manager Luis Enrique. “Dembele defended like a warrior, led like a captain, and performed like a Ballon d’Or winner.”

Though he didn’t get on the scoresheet in PSG’s dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final, Dembele’s pressing, off-the-ball movement, and creativity were key to dismantling the Italian side.

The French teenager assisted the opening goal in the final and scored twice, delivering a performance that solidified his reputation as one of the brightest young talents in European football.

PSG’s dominance this season marks a new chapter in the club’s history, and with stars like Dembele and Doue stepping up on the grandest stage, the future looks brighter than ever for the Parisians.
