“This Is Pure Deception” – VeryDarkMan Slams Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin Over Viral ‘Resurrection’ Video

VeryDarkMan Slams Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin Over Viral ‘Resurrection’ Video

Controversial Nigerian social commentator VeryDarkMan has publicly challenged Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin following the circulation of a viral video that allegedly shows the cleric bringing a woman on life support back to life during a church service.

In a fiery response posted online, VeryDarkMan dismissed the so-called miracle as “a well-scripted performance,” accusing Prophet Fufeyin of using religious theatrics to manipulate and exploit vulnerable Nigerians.

“Prophet Jeremiah, that was a beautiful performance. The actors really did a good job,” he said sarcastically. “But I have an auntie in Gariki Hospital. Come with me. Heal her like you healed that woman, and I’ll drop the court case. I’ll even pay you that one billion you’re suing me for. Just prove it.”

The outspoken critic didn’t hold back, condemning the growing trend of publicized miracles, which he described as “false advertising” aimed at growing influence and increasing offerings. He called for government regulation of miracle claims, likening the situation to the clampdown on miracle broadcasts during former President Obasanjo’s era.

“This is a serious problem in Africa. We can’t keep blaming the government alone. Some of these pastors are doing more harm than good. Why are these miracles always staged on camera? Why don’t they go to hospitals, war zones, or IDP camps?”

VeryDarkMan also claimed to have tested Prophet Jeremiah’s “miracle water” by giving it to physically challenged individuals—with no result.

“Nothing happened. No healing. Yet, NAFDAC hasn’t shut down the store selling it. Why?”

Although he admitted that miracles can happen, he argued that many so-called signs and wonders promoted by some pastors are orchestrated scams.

“I’m not saying miracles don’t exist. But not like this. These are rehearsed stunts, not divine acts. This is fraud.”

Expanding his criticism beyond Christianity, he pointed fingers at some Islamic leaders too, accusing both pastors and imams of manipulating religion for personal gain.

“Jesus rode a donkey. Nigerian pastors ride jets. Some compete over who owns the biggest church. It’s not just pastors—imams too are twisting religion to control people.”

He ended with a powerful message to Nigerian youths, urging them to focus on hard work and self-empowerment, rather than waiting for miracles.

“Young people, wake up. Stop waiting for miracles. Build something. If you don’t, life will humble you. We’ll keep speaking and exposing this fraud—so that even after we’re gone, others will see and learn. Like Fela.”

Closing on a lyrical note, he channeled Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti:

“Pastor na enjoyment. Imam dey para. Imam sef dey enjoy. Popo sef dey enjoy…”
