Global superstar Shakira has announced two additional shows in Mexico as part of the second leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, further cementing her record-breaking run in the country.
The newly added dates will see the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker perform at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros on 18 September, followed by her debut performance in Veracruz at the Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente on 24 September.
With these additions, Shakira has now scheduled 28 shows in Mexico for this tour alone — the most by any artist in a single tour cycle in the country.
Promoter OCESA confirmed the milestone in a press release, stating:
“With the announcement of this new date, the Colombian singer solidifies herself as the artist with the most concerts at the iconic Estadio GNP Seguros.”
The Colombian singer shared her gratitude in an emotional Instagram post alongside a recognition plaque:
“My beautiful Mexico! 12 shows at Estadio GNP! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for continuing to break records with me. See you soon. I love you!”
Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour began on 11 February in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is scheduled to conclude on 16 November in Lima, Peru.
