Victoria Oyeyemi Adeyemi, the mother of former Kogi West Senator Smart Adeyemi, has passed away.
She reportedly died on Wednesday morning at her residence in Abuja. Her death was confirmed in a statement by Dr. Aliyu Badaki, National President of the Iyara Development Association, on Thursday.
“This is to announce the glorious exit of our dear, lovely grandma, mama, Mrs Victoria Oyeyemi Adeyemi (née Ibilola),” the statement read. “She will always be remembered for her love and passion towards the development of Iyara.”
Dr. Badaki extended heartfelt condolences to Senator Adeyemi and his family, praying for Mama Victoria’s peaceful rest.
