Sorisha Naidoo Makes RHOD History, Opens Up About Growth, Regrets, and the Future of the Show

Sorisha Naidoo, one of the original stars of The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), has officially cemented her legacy on the hit reality series, becoming the only cast member to appear in all five reunion specials since the show launched in 2021.

Now hailed by fans as the “Queen of RHOD,” Sorisha reflected on her journey in an exclusive interview with Showmax ahead of the Season 5 Reunion, which airs on July 4 and 11.

“Bittersweet Without Nonku”

While she’s proud of the milestone, Sorisha admitted the moment felt bittersweet, especially with Nonku Williams absent from this year’s reunion.

“I feel sad, to be honest… We’ve been together from the beginning and I feel she needed to be here for this one,” Sorisha said. “I want to throw it in her face that I’ve made all five, but she’s not here for me to do that.”

A Journey of Growth and Reflection

Over the years, Sorisha has been both a peacemaker and a power player in the RHOD universe. She described her evolution through the seasons as a mix of highs and lows.

“There were amazing seasons and there were tough ones,” she said. “For me, it depends on the group of ladies. That’s what guides your experience and shapes how you respond.”

In a rare moment of vulnerability, Sorisha reflected on one of her biggest personal regrets:

“There was a time when I was isolated and cliquey and I couldn’t pull myself out of that space. Looking back, I don’t like how I reacted or how I boxed myself in. That wasn’t the best version of me… I’ve grown a lot since then.”

Her Vision for RHOD’s Future

Although Sorisha says she doesn’t run the show, fans and castmates alike often see her as the anchor of RHOD. When asked what she would change if given the reins, she didn’t hold back.

“If I did run things and had to make a cut, I’d say Minnie. I don’t think she was the best fit for this group at this time. That’s just me being honest.”

As for who she’d like to see return?

“Definitely Londie — and I’d want her back full-time. And my girls Annie and Slee.”

Sorisha also shared her hopes for a more uplifting direction in the coming seasons:

“I’d love to see women come in with a positive mindset… more wholesome, joyful moments. This season had great energy and great women, but I wish we had more fun together.”

Reunion Preview: “A Lot Will Be Revealed”

With the Season 5 reunion just days away, Sorisha is urging fans to tune in for what she promises will be an explosive wrap-up.

“It’s going to be different without Nonku… But trust me, there’s still much to unpack. A lot is going to be revealed — things that will make previous episodes make a lot more sense.”

From her longevity on the show to her ability to own her past and champion progress, Sorisha continues to be a defining presence on RHOD — and fans can’t wait to see what she brings to the reunion stage next.
