Reality TV star and media personality Tacha has strongly condemned the man accused of assaulting three women at a nightclub in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on June 19.
The disturbing incident came to light after the victims shared their ordeal in a viral video on social media. The women alleged that the suspect attacked them after wrongly accusing them of recording him without consent.
One of the victims suffered a head injury and was seen bleeding in the video, while another woman reportedly lost a front tooth after being punched in the face. A third woman claimed she was pushed down the stairs, stripped naked by the man and his entourage, and beaten “like a thief.”
Reacting in a video message posted online, Tacha — who hails from Port Harcourt — expressed outrage over the assault.
“I be Port Harcourt first daughter, nobody reach. Who brought you to this world? A woman brought you to this world. What will give you the effrontery to intimidate somebody to the extent you are breaking her teeth — a tooth you cannot mold — beating these girls up. What is their offense?” she questioned.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command confirmed that the accused was arrested on Saturday, June 16, but was released on bail the following day. He has since been charged to court on six counts related to assault occasioning harm.
The case has sparked widespread outrage online, with many Nigerians calling for justice and tougher measures against gender-based violence.
