Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has strongly condemned the gruesome massacre of over 200 villagers in Yelwata, Benue State, describing the attackers as “non-human” and “agents of hell.”
Speaking during the Commanding The Day Midnight Prayers on Monday, Pastor Enenche expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the killings reportedly carried out by herdsmen.
“It is clear that we have non-human persons in our land. They may look like persons but literally not human. They are almost one and the same with the devil,” he said.
The cleric, who was in the Czech Republic for the European Fire Conference when news of the massacre broke, decried the sheer brutality of the attacks:
“Human persons have feelings. Even if they feel nothing for others, they should have compassion for children. But they killed and set people on fire alive.”
Pastor Enenche sent heartfelt condolences to the grieving Yelwata community, Benue State, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
He criticized what he termed massive failure on the part of government and security agencies, questioning the military’s inability to stop such atrocities:
“Will the military just watch? Is it that they lack capacity? We have one of the best military forces in the world. They intervened in Liberia and elsewhere; why not here?”
The fiery message also challenged the National and State Assemblies, warning against complacency while innocent lives are lost:
“Will lawmakers just sit and do business as usual until there is no village left to govern? The time has come to do what must be done to stop these agents of hell.”
Pastor Enenche cautioned that unless urgent action is taken, “a time may come when some big men may have no village to go back to.”
