Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has revealed that he doesn’t view music as a job, but rather as a way of life.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, the ‘Odogwu’ crooner explained that his passion for music runs so deep that he sees no need to take a break from it.
“I love my job. I don’t consider my job a job. I consider it life. Why do I need a vacation from life?” he said.
The Afrofusion star added that unless he becomes older or has children, he sees no reason to step away from music for a vacation.
“It’s not like I am a bricklayer or labourer. That’s what you need vacation from. Not when you’re Burna Boy. My job is literally a lifestyle. It’s what I would wish to do if I wasn’t doing it,” he said.
Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, has consistently emphasized his deep connection to music and his desire to inspire and entertain through his art. With multiple international awards and chart-topping albums, the singer continues to solidify his status as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
