Afrobeats sensation Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has confidently declared himself the greatest musician of his generation.
The Soso crooner took to his X handle to make the bold statement, acknowledging that while he may not have the evidence to prove it now, the future will speak for him.
He wrote:
“Hi guys! My name is Omah Lay and I am the greatest of my generation. I don’t have proofs right now but there will be a lot in the future.
Thanks. Yours truly, Boy Alone.”
This isn’t the first time Omah Lay has voiced strong belief in his musical prowess. In 2023, during an interview on The Beat FM in London, the Nigerian singer spoke about leading the new wave of Afrobeats artists.
He also stated that he had birthed a “new sound,” one he intends to promote and take global.
Omah Lay’s message has since stirred conversation among fans, with many praising his self-confidence, while others wait eagerly to see him back it up with even more music and accolades.
