R&B legend Usher has officially cancelled the Australian leg of his highly anticipated Past Present Future tour, leaving fans disappointed after a 14-year wait.
The Grammy-winning singer was set to perform 12 shows across Melbourne and Sydney between November and December 2025. However, promoter Live Nation announced on Friday that the concerts have been scrapped.
“The promoter of Usher’s Australian tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/December will no longer be proceeding,” a statement on Ticketek’s website read.
While no official reason was provided for the abrupt cancellation, Live Nation has assured fans that full refunds will be issued automatically to the original payment method used for ticket purchases. Fans have been advised to allow up to 30 days for the refunds to reflect in their accounts.
Usher first revealed his plans to tour Australia back in March via Instagram, promising to bring “the A to the AUS.” The response was so overwhelming that four additional shows were added to the initial lineup when tickets went on sale in May.
The Past Present Future tour, which began in August 2024, has been a massive success in the US and Europe. Usher’s performances have featured surprise appearances by major stars like Stevie Wonder, Naomi Campbell, Boyz II Men, Estelle, Craig David, and LL Cool J.
Fans in Australia now remain hopeful that Usher will reschedule or return in the near future to fulfill his promise of bringing his dynamic stage presence Down Under.
