Nollywood star Timini Egbuson has addressed public assumptions about his personal life, firmly stating that he is not a womaniser as many believe.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Culture League podcast, where he appeared alongside Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface and comedian Bovi, the 38-year-old actor said his lifestyle and busy work schedule leave no room for romantic escapades.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womaniser. But I’m not,” he clarified. “In the past two, three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s no room, except you’re the most unserious [to womanise].”
Timini Egbuson added that he has been single for two to three years and finds it difficult to understand how others manage to juggle multiple relationships given his own hectic filming commitments.
“I even wonder how some of my friends who womanise, date four or five girls simultaneously, have time to attend to all of them,” he said. “From being on set all day to getting back tired at 11 p.m., I will now start chatting a lady? I don’t have the capacity for that.”
Despite the false assumptions, Timini said he’s unbothered by the “bad boy” image and even finds some amusement in it.
“I enjoy the stereotype,” he admitted with a smile.
