Zee Nxumalo is making waves as one of the most promising voices in the Amapiano music scene. With hit songs like Ngisakuthanda, millions of streams, and four nominations at the Basadi in Music Awards, the Swazi-South African singer is living proof that hard work and raw talent can take you far, fast.
Zee recently took her career a step further by dropping her first international single, In & Out, in collaboration with Romanian artists Raluka and millforlife.
She also treated herself to a luxury car, a clear symbol of her rising success. But like many young stars, fame comes with both applause and scrutiny.
Red Carpet Rumors: What Really Happened with Thembi Seete?
Zee recently found herself in the middle of a social media frenzy after a video surfaced showing what many called an “awkward” red carpet exchange between her and veteran entertainer Thembi Seete.
Some viewers speculated tension, but Zee set the record straight in a candid interview with TRUELOVE magazine.
“Haibo, she is the one that even called me to the red carpet ukuthi, ‘You look good, ngena.’ Mina I was there like, ‘Oh hi sis Thembi and yourself, aw ngena,’ yabo?” she explained. “But I saw the video myself, doesn’t look great.”
Zee emphasized that there was no bad blood — just a misunderstood moment, amplified by public perception.
“It’s an opinion-based industry,” she said. “Senz’u-music, people must have opinions about the music we make, they must have opinions about the way we dress. So, it’s nothing really – it’s not life-threatening.”
A Creative Spirit Guided by the Beat
Zee’s passion lies firmly in the music. She has collaborated with big names like Pabi Cooper, Tyler ICU, and Dlala Thukzin, and her creative process is refreshingly organic.
“I freestyle a lot. I allow myself to be myself. The beat definitely influences the way I interact with the song,” she shared.
Growing in the Game
As her profile continues to rise, Zee remains grounded and focused on growth.
“I’m still learning,” she admits. “Things like respecting time, time management, planning… Two years ago, those things didn’t matter to me. But now that I’m exposed to so much, ngiyafunda.”
Despite the pressure that comes with being in the spotlight, Zee Nxumalo is proving that authenticity, resilience, and a strong sense of self** are the true markers of longevity.
And while the world watches, she’s still doing what she loves — one beat, one song, and one lesson at a time.
