Lauren Pisciotta, Kanye West’s former assistant who is suing the rapper for sexual assault and workplace misconduct, now claims he is retaliating by orchestrating a dangerous swatting campaign against her. Swatting involves making false police reports to provoke an armed law enforcement response at a victim’s location.
According to Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali, she has been living in fear and isolation as the legal battle unfolds. Speaking to the BBC, Fudali said, “She’s just sort of sitting around and hiding… She is suffering and has been suffering since she began working for Mr. West.”
Pisciotta originally filed the lawsuit in June 2024. Shortly after, she amended her legal complaint to include allegations that she became the target of swatting incidents. In one such episode, law enforcement reportedly arrived at her home in response to a false report claiming she had killed her mother. Pisciotta also alleges she received anonymous phone calls warning her to abandon the lawsuit.
Kanye West’s legal team has denied all allegations, calling the claims “absurd and outlandish.” A representative told Complex that Pisciotta’s lawsuit is on its fourth version, each more “fantastical” than the last. “Does Ms. Pisciotta actually believe her confabulations? We cannot know. But this breathless new installment of fantasy fiction discredits all past, present, and future testimony,” the representative added.
In response, Pisciotta’s other attorney, Lisa Bloom, countered that Kanye West’s own inflammatory social media posts will backfire in court. One such deleted post read: “WHY DID I NEVER F** LAUREN PISCIOTTA SHE SMELLED FUNNY AND HALF OF THE NBA CAN ATTEST TO THAT.”* Bloom insists these comments serve as damaging evidence that will undermine his defense.
