Katy Perry had a heart-stopping moment on stage during her Lifetimes Tour stop in San Francisco on Friday, July 18, when a mid-air stunt nearly ended in disaster.

While performing to a packed crowd, the pop icon was gliding above the audience on a butterfly-shaped aerial prop when it suddenly malfunctioned mid-flight. The stunt, meant to be a highlight of the night, quickly turned into a safety scare.
