Nollywood actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “dead,” following recent comments made by the party’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum.

Damagum had vowed to discipline PDP members who support the emerging ADC-led opposition coalition, warning of consequences for those working to undermine the party from within.

Reacting on Thursday via a post on X (formerly Twitter), Okonkwo criticized the PDP for what he described as hypocrisy and double standards.

“PDP leadership has really become the clowns of the APC,” he wrote.
“How can you be talking about dealing with your members who are supporting ADC and the Coalition when PDP leaders have defected to APC, openly endorsed Tinubu for 2027, and are working for APC—even while still being members of PDP—and PDP is accommodating them and even making excuses for them?”

“PDP is dead.”

Kenneth Okonkwo, a former PDP and APC member, is now a strong supporter of the Labour Party and the Peter Obi movement, frequently criticizing both major parties for what he sees as a lack of direction and integrity.
