Kenya Moore Confirms She Won’t Return for ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 17

Kenya Moore

Kenya Moore has confirmed she will not be returning for Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), ending speculation about her future on the long-running Bravo series.

The former Miss USA was sidelined during Season 16 following a heated confrontation with newcomer Brit Eady, a clash that turned controversial when Moore displayed explicit images during filming. Moore later explained her actions stemmed from feeling threatened after Eady allegedly claimed to have a “gun” during a prior dispute.

Fans had hoped Moore’s absence was temporary and that she’d make a comeback. In fact, her absence from the Season 16 reunion had many speculating a grand return was on the horizon. However, Moore addressed the speculation head-on during a recent Instagram Live session, stating:

“Will I be part of the cast? As of now, no. That could change, I keep hearing a lot of different things. We have been in talks. But, as of this moment, it’s a no.”

$20 Million Lawsuit Clouds Return

According to insiders at TV Deets, Moore’s absence is linked to the legal drama surrounding the incident with Eady, who has reportedly filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo. The legal battle has made Moore’s involvement in the upcoming season “too messy,” sources claim.

“A lot of people [here at Bravo] really like Kenya, but the lawsuit is a complete mess,” a source told the outlet. “She won’t be on Season 17, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s back once all of this is done.”

New Faces on the Horizon

Despite Moore’s departure, the show will go on. The Season 16 cast is expected to return, although their roles and screen time have not been confirmed. Moore herself teased fans by revealing that two new Housewives are being added to the cast — likely to fill the vacancies left by both her and Eady.

While Team Twirl fans may be disappointed by the update, the door doesn’t appear to be permanently closed. Moore remains in talks with Bravo, and her future on RHOA could still be rewritten once the legal dust settles.
